Academic Medicine
Guidelines Used
NICE CG124
Background

Aims
To improve accuracy and compliance of the neck of femur fracture admission proforma completion at Guy’s & St Thomas’ during the audit cycle.
Objectives
Audit population: Review all neck of femur admissions between 1 July and 30 September 2025 for use of the NICE CG124 admission proforma.
Benchmarking: Calculate the percentage of admissions with a fully completed proforma against a 100% standard.
Template integration: Embed the proforma into the EPIC admission workflow by month 2 of the cycle.
Education: Deliver a 15-minute training session for all orthopaedic junior doctors by the end of month 1.
Re-audit: Repeat the proforma-completion audit in month 6 to assess improvement toward full compliance .
