The story behind the platform — and the person who built it
A clinician who got tired of the duplication
WhichAudit was created by an NHS clinician who — like so many colleagues — spent hours designing audit proformas, literature searching, and writing up methodology, only to discover that the same audit had been done at three other trusts that year.
The NHS is brilliant at delivering care but historically poor at sharing the administrative and quality improvement work that supports it. Every trust has a shared drive full of audits that nobody outside the department ever sees. WhichAudit is the antidote.
Beyond clinical work, this platform reflects a belief that technology — built carefully and with clinical context — can meaningfully reduce the friction of quality improvement and free up time for what matters most: patient care.
Clinical audit is a cornerstone of NHS quality improvement — mandated by the Care Quality Commission and expected of every clinical team. Yet the infrastructure to share this work has lagged decades behind the expectation. WhichAudit is a small step towards fixing that gap, one submission at a time.

Core audit discovery is free for all NHS clinicians. The NHS is a public institution — the knowledge generated within it should be accessible to those who generate it.
